I got my Phoenix Pay settlement today. Knowing I was going to get that today last night I made the plans to pay off my credit card.
This morning I paid off the credit card, which feels good but not my new thing. No less then 5 minutes later the TD collections people called me, because I wasn’t using my card and there was credit owing on it they wanted to make sure it was going to be paid. Had the worker bee not said “Oh, I see you just paid it in full.” I would have called TD up saying my card stuff had been stolen, but luckily that wasn’t the case.
My new thing is having a collections agency call me up right after paying something down.
