While I was thinking about my future with banana vinegar I thought about what I would use to do the first fermentation when I remembered I had the essence of orange being sucked out of the carcass and guts of oranges in my fermentation station. I decanted the orange extract but could still smell the orange flavour coming from the carcass and guts left in the jar. I thought rather then disposing of the oranges I would try to make more extract; after looking at my collection of vodkas I decided I was going to make a vanilla orange extract. I have yet to make a second extract from previously used caucuses.
