Today’s New Thing

Today my new thing is an addition to my fermentation station, today I started making kombucha. It is a fermented tea, full of probiotics to make my guy dance (or something like that).

I chose a green tea rather then a black one, hopefully get some green tea benefits. It is not a fast process, it takes 1 to 4 weeks for the SCOBY to develop (like the mother of vinegar, or yogurt/kefir culture), after which the second fermentation will take 6 to 10 days, followed by a third fermentation of 3 to 10 days.
