I was going to make an apple stock, so that I could flavour some rice for a dessert. I got thinking what could I add to it just for a little more flavour? As I was putting my veggie stock into the freezer I found some rhubarb in my freezer, so I thought an apple rhubarb stock could be yummy.
I chopped up four rhubarb and weighed it. I put in twice as much apple, and half as much sugar covered with water and started boiling. After 10 minutes it was tasting good, but there wasn’t the tart rhubarb flavour yet, I will try again in a bit.
After an hour it tasted right; I then put a cup of it, 198 grams of rice, and another apple into my pressure and hit the rice button. It tasted yummy!
